1947 Soul singer Ann Peebles born in East St. Louis. Her best known works released on Al Green's Hi Label, including "Can't Stop the Rain" and "I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down."

1947 Gordon Haskell, UK singer, songwriter, King Crimson, solo, (2001 UK No.2 single 'How Wonderful You Are', 2001 UK No.2 album, 'Harry's Bar').

1947 Peter Ham, vocals, guitar, The Iveys and then Badfinger, (1970 UK No.4 single 'Come And Get It'). Ham committed suicide on 23rd April 1975.
